Bent Spanish doctor alluded to tennis players and footballers also being on his books when he got done for giving PEDs to cyclists. The case was in and out of courts for years - final decision came a few months ago and the presiding judge said anything not linked to the case - blood bags etc - were to be destroyed as it wasn't in the publics interest to keep them. Nothing to do with a bunch of other Spanish athletes being possible clients as well? Of course not.

Google Eufemiano Fuentes

Drugs can have a huge impact in sport. This one appears to assist in oxygen uptake - it's blindingly obvious why she would be taking it if she could. It was perfectly legal and gave her an advantage.

I bumped into a 2/3rds bush a few months ago. Very springy and tickly on your nose, and you have to rummage around a bit to find anything fun to play with.

The bush would surprise me
Sharapova doesn't look the type
In fact I would need proof from the lady herself. I'm free on Thursday night

Re: Sharapova failed a drugs test
there is simply no place in this day and age for a 70's bush.

I don't even think Nurse or Debs have got one.

Unlicensed in Europe too. Meant to be taken for 4-6 weeks for acute heart conditions, but she's been taking it for 10 years. Helps muscle endurance apparently. She got an email telling the stuff she was taking was banned but didn't read it.

70s bush? Interesting. Haven't seen one of those for ages, so the answer, as long as accompanied by lots of grunting is yes.

President of the Russian Tennis Federation reckons this is 'a load of nonsense' & reckons Shazza will still compete for Russia at the Olympics.
Says athletes just take what the doctors and physios give them and that's the end of the matter.

Ha ha
There is Russian sport in a nutshell

Can call it gay, yet at least no tennis player has yet been found making a 15 year old suck their cock!

Just another reason why tennis is shit... and a bit gay

Re: Sharapova failed a drugs test
All tennis players should be forced to take copious amounts of acid at the beginning of each match, watch them slowly melt down on the court as the drug takes hold. Id definitely watch it then.

Re: Sharapova failed a drugs test
So cheats with drugs on top of cheating from the grunting she does every time she hits the ball putting the other player off. Would have hoped the laws would have stamped on all the noise made by her and a few.

I'd still like the bend the annoying noisy bitch over.

Definitely looks like a case of sportsperson in being thick shocker though.

Not just unlicensed in the US but manufactured in Latvia. Hmmm.

Re: Sharapova failed a drugs test
Having read a bit more about this drug it appears it had been talked about one that was used to improve performance under the guise of treating a 'condition'.
She has just been stupid in that now what she was doing 'legally' has finally been caught up with & she hasn't shifted horses quick enough.
Seems also there is another one for a 'thyroid condition' that hasn't been caught up with which is used in a similar way. Am sure there are others.

Comment by Dr Peter Brukner who was Liverpool's doctor and now looks after the Aust cricket team:

Just how much impact the drug has on elite performance is unclear, but Dr Brukner, a professor of sports medicine at La Trobe University, said "it's clearly been used for that reason" by some athletes.

Dr Brukner said he expected Sharapova to spend at least two years on the sidelines but did not rule out the possibility of her being slapped with the maximum four-year ban.
"You can get some remittance from that for inadvertent use, but it is arguable whether this was inadvertent," he told ABC News.

"She knew she was taking it and presumably she assumed it was performance-enhancing.

"The fact she may not have known it was banned probably won't qualify her for that [leeway for inadvertent use].

"I think she is in for a long suspension."
